Henry Wilson papers 1829-1858.

Henry Wilson commanded the 7th Infantry during the Mexican War and the bulk of the papers relate to his duties as military governor of Vera Cruz after its capture by the Americans in 1847. The letter from his daughter, Cecile V. Wilson, to Mrs. Cruzat, summarizes Wilson's military service from 1813 to 1851. The manuscript map shows the route of the 1st Regiment of the United States Infantry and mule paths in Mexico, 1846.
